Getting out of Storage Fees!

Leading up to the 4th we broke free of the bill for self-storage rental.

The exciting interior of the storage unit showing the great job of drywall taping.

For several weeks I had not been north of Canonsburg.  Early in June Cindy became determined to empty our rented storage near Mayview and that broke the barrier as we pressed another 5 miles north to disassemble the shelving I had built there and transport it to the Farmhouse where Laura wanted storage space next to her mighty Wheelhorse mower.
July 1 all four of us took the truck and the van to the storage place and loaded up the pieces and brought them back.  We did a terrific job of cleaning the space and headed back to the farm where the pieces were deposited in the shed.  There were two shelving units at the storage units and one of them was destine for the Arden Heights station of the future incline which is in the meantime the Chateau shed.  The next day or so Kevin helped me shorten that unit and the gals took it to the Chateau where Mom had emptied the shed in preparation for shelf arrival.

Everything is in place now, although I'm not sure that shelves are installed in the Farmhouse shed as Laura has been battling the worn out mower deck on the Wheelhorse.  Kevin welded up cracks in the sheetmetal and it has been reassembled but it was cutting too low so it is back to the bench.

Down at the Museum we have had a trickle of visitors and some very dedicated volunteers operating the cars and giving tours.  The Museum is open Thursday---Sunday.

Kevin and Michael with some help from Laura have been hard at work on the Fairgrounds platform canopy Monday---Wednesday as illustrated with the photos below.  In the shop I have been busy building shelves for the parts from 8042, which is scheduled to have work resume on Monday 7/13.  We have one Operator for an hour person scheduled that day.  The beat goes on...

On Wednesday (7/8) Ominous clouds foretell the deluge hit us yesterday.

The other big thing in my sights is Grampa's pet Playtrolley, currently being refurbished by volunteer Tom Pawlesh.
