Thanks Kevin & Doug
Yesterday the year long desire to get the drainage on the driveway at the Farmhouse up here on Hickory Ridge. On Friday I received this load of rocks.
Kevin was bringing his Bobcat and his Dad's dump truck to PTM to locate water lines at the along Trolley Street and arrived early in the morning to come to our place to put in some needed drainage. We met for breakfast at the Pike Inn at 8:30 and got to the Farmhouse around 9:30.
Our driveway intercepts a lot of drainage from the hillside. As the digging progressed Kevin unearthed a terracotta pipe that followed the line of the ditch. We also found a thin layer of red-dog that was probably used for the original surface of the driveway.
We finished up around 1:00 pm with the team loading unwanted junk onto their dump truck. After that the moved on to the Trolley Street project to verify where the water line lay so that pole holes for steel poles could be drilled with complete confidence. That was accomplished with a couple of digs with the Bobcat and this allowed for the holes to be augured with bucket truck 9974.
December 30, Michael B., Jeff, Larry and Kevin set some of the steel poles on Trolley Street. Here's what it looked like yesterday with steel poles in place.

The dig started over at the
corner of the left garage door and water pipe and worked its way along
the driveway to where a cast iron pipe full of mud was located. There
the ditch turned under the driveway so that the pipes could outflow onto
the lower lawn. From there it will head for the ditch next to the
road. At least that was the plan.

I took this photo on the 27th showing all of the wooden poles in place.
Work in the shop concentrated on 5326 (PRT) Philadelphia. Art Rizzino worked most of the day with Bernie to track down and correct a problem with the doors.
